It leads with the honest situation — 228,000 jobs, 84ms search, ~32 screens built, and zero users. That's not a weakness in a JD, it's the pitch: a good designer wants to shape what people meet before they meet it, not retrofit around existing behaviour. First projects are real, not hypothetical — all four come from your own design/ folder and open work: Killing the four-tab split (your [login to view URL] already argues source belongs in a filter) Choosing among the three browse concepts — split triage, morning field, query canvas The resume builder, which is the least designed and most monetizable part Getting design/nordic/ tokens and component states out of SVG and into code The loading component is in there as a filter. I described the fake percentage, the internal stage checklist, and the exposed GraphQL name, and said the person you want is the one who spots that instinctively. It's a concrete test of judgement, and it tells candidates what you value. There's a "Being straight with you" section — one engineer, no PM, no users, self-hosted, and ~32 screens of existing inertia they'll sometimes have to argue for rebuilding. Senior designers respond well to that and it filters out people who want a design team to hide in. The application asks for reasoning, not screens — plus an optional live exercise: look at the three concepts, pick one, defend it in a paragraph. That's the interview you actually want, so it may as well be the first contact. Four things marked [DECIDE] before you post: engagement type, location/timezone, compensation, and where to send applications. One judgement call I made: I wrote it for a designer who can read code and open dev tools, but stopped short of requiring they ship React. Given one engineer and a Python-generated mockup pipeline, a designer who can't inspect the real components will hand you specs that don't survive contact with MUI. If you'd rather hire someone who commits code directly, say so and I'll sharpen that section — it changes both the requirements and the salary band.

Hi, I reviewed the project and you need a website design that turns the current ~32-screen mockup into a clear UX story, including the four [DECIDE] items and optional live exercise flow. I’ll use Website Design and Web Design principles to translate the design tokens (from SVG into code), build consistent component states (like the loading filter), and wire the navigation changes for the “browse concepts” (split triage, morning field, query canvas) using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’ll keep the UI clean, responsive, and easy to maintain so the interview-style reasoning stays prominent and accurate in the final pages. Let’s discuss here now.

Hello, I’m interested in helping you design and shape the user experience for this project. What stands out to me is that this is not just a visual redesign task — it’s an opportunity to define how users discover, understand, and interact with the product from the beginning. I specialize in UI/UX design with experience creating scalable design systems, intuitive user flows, and developer-friendly interfaces. My approach would include: • Reviewing the existing screens, navigation patterns, and component structure • Evaluating the four initial design priorities and recommending solutions based on usability and product goals • Designing a clear browsing experience by comparing concepts and selecting the strongest direction with reasoning • Converting design tokens, component states, and UI patterns into a consistent design system • Creating responsive layouts that work across desktop and smaller screens • Providing organized Figma files with reusable components, states, and developer-ready specifications I appreciate the emphasis on design thinking and decision-making rather than simply producing screens. I’m comfortable working with technical teams, reviewing existing implementations, and using tools like browser dev tools and code inspection to create designs that are realistic and maintainable. Looking forward to discussing how I can help bring this product experience to life. Best regards, RAHEEL

Hello, I am excited about the opportunity to help shape the user experience and visual direction of your platform from an early stage. I understand that this is not a simple redesign task—it is an opportunity to define how users interact with a complex product before habits and assumptions become fixed. The product already has strong foundations: meaningful data, multiple workflows, and a large interface scope. My focus will be on simplifying complexity, improving user journeys, and creating a design system that can scale with the product. Deliverables UX recommendations and design decisions Redesigned key screens Component library Design system documentation Responsive layouts Developer-ready Figma files Interaction specifications Asset exports where required Working Style Why I’m a Good Fit Strong UI/UX design experience Understanding of frontend development constraints Experience creating scalable design systems Ability to work with existing products and improve them strategically Focus on usability, clarity, and implementation quality I would be happy to review the existing design concepts, discuss priorities, and provide recommendations on the best direction for the product experience. Thank you for considering my proposal. Best regards, ADEEL

Hello, I’m interested in helping shape this product from the ground up. What stands out to me is that this is not a redesign of an established product—it’s an opportunity to define the experience users will meet for the first time. I enjoy working on early-stage products where design decisions require strong product thinking, not just visual execution. I have experience creating scalable design systems, improving complex workflows, designing intuitive navigation, and translating designs into developer-friendly components. I can work through your existing concepts, challenge assumptions where needed, and create practical solutions that align with the technical reality of your stack. My approach would be to first understand the current architecture, review the existing design concepts, identify usability gaps, and then refine the strongest direction into a consistent UI system with reusable components, states, and tokens. I’m comfortable collaborating closely with engineers and using dev tools/code inspection to ensure designs survive implementation. A few questions: * What product stage are you targeting for the first user release? * Which concept currently feels closest to the direction you want, and why? * Is the designer expected to only deliver Figma/design systems, or also contribute directly to React components? * What is the preferred engagement model and timezone overlap? Hello, Your project immediately stood out because it is not about polishing an existing product with established user patterns — it is about defining those patterns from the beginning. I enjoy working at this stage, where thoughtful design decisions can shape how people experience a product before habits and assumptions become fixed. I understand the challenge: 228,000 jobs, an 84ms search experience, around 32 existing screens, and no users yet. That is exactly the kind of environment where strong product thinking matters. The goal is not simply to make screens look better, but to identify what deserves to exist, what should be simplified, and what will actually help users accomplish their goals. I would approach the work by combining UX strategy, visual design, and technical awareness. I’m comfortable reviewing existing flows, questioning assumptions, and collaborating closely with engineering to ensure designs translate into real components rather than disconnected mockups. Thanks

Hello, It sounds like you're looking for a designer who can tackle both the visual and functional aspects of your website, especially given the unique challenges you've outlined. With 7+ years of experience in web design and a strong background in user experience, I can help create a site that not only looks great but also works seamlessly for users. My approach would involve collaborating closely with your existing engineer to ensure the designs are practical and enhance the user journey, while also addressing the existing inertia in your screens. I appreciate your emphasis on reasoning over just providing screens; I believe this fosters a more meaningful dialogue about design choices. I’d love to understand more about the user personas you envision for the site. What insights do you have about the audience that could inform the design decisions? Best regards, Ivan Mandinski

Hello, I have worked on product Website Design where UX / User Experience choices needed to survive real code, not just static screens. Your four-tab navigation, browse concepts, resume builder, and nordic tokens need careful judgement before more HTML screens create extra inertia. I will review the existing design folder, compare the three browse directions, and turn the strongest decisions into clear component states that fit the current build. I will also flag weak patterns like fake loading progress and help shape the resume flow into something users can understand and pay for. Best regards, Teo

The honest framing — 228k jobs, 84ms search, ~32 screens, zero users — is exactly the setup I want, because shaping first behaviour beats retrofitting around it. On the loading component: the fake percentage, internal stage checklist, and exposed GraphQL name all leak implementation as if it were reassurance — I'd cut it to a single honest state, because a loader's job is trust, not theatre. Taking the exercise: I'd back split triage — it turns 228k jobs into a decision surface instead of a scroll, and source collapses into a filter, killing the four-tab split your 02-nav png already argues against. My approach is reasoning-first: pull nordic/ tokens and states out of SVG into real coded components, then earn each rebuild against the existing 32. One engineer, no PM, no users — that's the version I do my best work in, and I can start now.

Hi, I read your note on the loading component, the fake percentage, the internal stage checklist, and the exposed GraphQL name. That kind of detail leaking through the UI is exactly the sort of thing a designer who reads code catches before it ships. I agree with your judgement call: someone who can open dev tools and inspect the real MUI components will hand you specs that survive contact with the build. We turn Figma into responsive front ends often. One example, a pixel-perfect design translated into a fast SPA: Wuoz: pixel-perfect Figma to SPA Before I go further, one question: on the three browse concepts, do you want split triage, morning field, or query canvas defended, or all three weighed? Hello! As per your project description, you are looking for a senior product designer who can shape the UX and product direction of an already built platform with roughly 228,000 jobs, around 32 existing screens, and several important workflows that still need stronger design decisions. The opportunity is not simply to redesign existing screens, but to challenge the current navigation, browsing experience, resume builder, design system, and product interactions before real user behavior becomes difficult to change. My focus will be on understanding the existing product, identifying where the current experience creates unnecessary complexity, and making clear UX decisions backed by reasoning. I can evaluate the three browsing concepts, rethink the four tab navigation, improve the resume builder as a key monetization opportunity, and turn the existing design tokens and component states into a consistent and scalable product design system. I specialize in product UI/UX, information architecture, user flows, design systems, interaction design, responsive interfaces, Figma, prototyping, and developer focused design handoff. I am also comfortable working close to the actual product and considering implementation constraints. I would be happy to review the existing design concepts and take the optional browsing exercise as an opportunity to demonstrate how I approach product decisions, not just how I make screens look. Best regards, Nikita Gupta
