Deploy & Maintain PHP Website

I have a complete PHP website packaged in a set of .zip files. The immediate goal is simple: unpack everything, configure whatever is required—code, assets, possible database connection—and bring the site online so it loads exactly as intended on a live server. I can adapt to your preferred stack (Apache / Nginx, cPanel, CLI, etc.); if you need me to choose or upgrade hosting I’m open to your guidance. Once the site is up and running, I’d like to keep working with the same developer for ongoing improvements on an as-needed basis. That could mean small visual tweaks one month and a deeper code refactor or feature rollout the next. Clear version control practices (Git) and concise change logs are important to me so I can track what was done and roll back if necessary. Deliverables for the first milestone • Deployed, fully functional website reachable by public URL • Any database set-up or import completed (if the code requires one) • Brief hand-off note outlining server settings, credentials kept secure, and where each core component lives in the file tree Acceptance criteria • No PHP errors or missing asset warnings in the browser console • Pages load in under three seconds on first view (baseline shared hosting metrics) • I can log in—or otherwise interact—exactly as the original site intended After that, we can schedule new tasks under separate milestones.
