Web Design- graphic design- for Jobs management website

This project is for graphic design of the main templates for a jobs-management website. The site will be developed on the drupal cms platform. familiarity with designing for CMSs is essential. The designs will be based on detailed wireframes (some attached). The designer should know how to work off of wireframes. ************** IMPORTANT: **************** We are looking FIRST for bids on just doing just the homepage and 1 of the below 4 pages. This is only a subset of the total project. I want to get a sense of cost and style based on this. If things go well then we will definitely ask you to do all the other key pages as well. The bid should be on the homepage and 1 other of the following 4 pages as outlined in the attached wireframes: 1. homepage, including the universal header & footer 2. applicant's public profile 3. search results for "search positions" 4. browse members (applicants) Thereafter, there will be plenty more work for the winner in designing other templates, including: 5. Register/ join "pitch" pages 6. many "dashboards" of jobs, applications, applicants and more 7. more search results for members, jobs, site content and more 8. browse applicants/ employers category landing pages 9. view a position 10. user's personal "landing page" with personalized left nav and settings options- by type 11. post a position 12. surveys- create, view, results. 13. variants on the browse members- other types, and profiles- other types and probably some others I'm not thinking about... HERE IS WHAT WE NEED: visual designs of the above 4 pages based on the attached wireframes with consistent css styles used for all pages and universal style guide for fonts, colors, link colors etc. In other words, if you use purple for your hyperlinks on one page, make sure it's purple on the next, etc. To find the above four pages in the doc, read the instructions on the first page of the wires-- follow the page #s in the upper right not the actual page inside the document. The homepage, esp the header and footer are obviously the most important in terms of creating a compelling, slick visual design. THis is why we will start with the homepage. The header is really the only place to give the entire site some personality and inspirational feel. this will be built using a custom DRUPAL theme so consider the fact that it will be on Drupal, a CMS platform, in your design. You may want to look at the drupal site and examples to get a sense of what's possible (answer: a lot, but not infinite). The core goal of the site is usability and user experience. The wires are a guide for priorities on the page, navigation and key experience and usability components but there is still plenty of room for a good visual designer to add in their interpretation and make it look really slick, professional, inspiring and compelling. note: headlines must be plain-text for SEO optimization. please limit graphics usage to where it is really necessary! we could consider using SIFR judiciously for key font elements (like 1 headline/ tagline per page) to enable custom font rendering but would prefer to avoid it if we can. BACKGROUND: The attached creative brief also gives some background on the project and the website so you can understand what we are building. The attached logo is our logo (for now, anyway) the attached mascot is our site mascot The attached wires are what you should design from OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS: job seekers and employers; interns and employers; as well as others in the jobs space-- programs, recruiters, professional associations, higher education. DESIGN GUIDELINES: see our creative brief (attached) for guidelines on vision, goal, target style (50s retro/ streamlined, think Bauhaus or swedish modern furniture).Imagine an old TV set or 50s high-end radio -- early electronics that are streamlined and "vintage modern" in styling-- should be your guide. the idea is modern, futuristic, well conceived but also retro and comforting. We must have you following and incorporating the page elements represented in the wires. if you are not familiar with the professional web design process and the interaction between the visual designer and the interaction designer/ information architect, as well as with the requirements in designing for modular, dynamic content management systems, this project may be a challenge for you.
