Build a nanocourse in goole sites

Students are required to create an online nanocourse consisting of a series of

four lessons. They should design the activities, tasks and/or pedagogical tools

which develop learners’ specific language skills and/or knowledge. Students will

have the opportunity to present their nanocourse in Weeks 7 and 8 and receive

formative feedback from their peers and the tutor. The nanocourse should include

the following elements1:

• The course title;

• An introduction to the nanocourse (e.g. the relevance of the topic, what is

unique about the course, what students will learn, and the overall aims of the

course);

• A description of the context in which the nanocourse can be used (e.g. the

students’ age, first language, country of origin, level of English);

• The structure of the curriculum and a detailed description of its content

including any tasks, activities and pedagogical tools;

o What are the skills and knowledge to be developed (clearly mapped to

the tasks and activities)?

o How is the lesson content sequenced in order to promote progression

in language learning?
