I am a small IT company and one of my clients has an existing website and needs a new website.
There are two priorities
1. The stock quantities, pictures, descriptions and prices must be linked to my ebay store and maybe the best way to do this is to use a multi channel eCommerce solution / plug in
2. SEO is very important. The site must be built with SEO in mind so good coding, good URLs, call to action on pages etc.
The SEO priority is that the website will be found locally within 5 cities in Ireland. Hits from these cities count. Any other hits outside Ireland do not matter. This website MUST be designed and created in such a way that it attracts local visitors. I DO understand SEO is an ongoing task but it all starts with the right website (On Site SEO) so this is the starting point and ongoing (offsite) SEO work will happen later Reference sites exist. Competitor sites have been selected, reviews of the existing site exist but I am only sharing these with the top candidates that can prove they can make a website that will be found LOCALLY
The site sells used car parts. The company take cars and break them into parts and then sell the parts. There will be a main page and then a landing page for each of the target cities (5) and then there are the catalogue pages. The site is a catalogue site and there must be a catalogue with parts and descriptions and this must be populated from eBay (an existing ebay store). This can be achieved using perhaps OpenCart or ZenCart and perhaps Expandly or Sellbrite or Listing Mirror but the main data source is the eBay shop and the website will sync from the ebay store - There needs to be some way to have the products update automatically.
In summary - a product website that targets 5 cities (with landing pages) and the products are populated from eBay store the MOST important thing is SEO. The pages must be found locally and the pages must be designed to have a definite call to action Preference will be given to those with good feedback for SEO and who can demonstrate existing project where their SEO work made a difference (so have you a site that was ranked high ? )
