Project: Walking trail for castle on mobile
Issue: Geolocation using HTML5, Javascript and Leaflet on a PWA designed for mobile.
I need help with a popup window which shows user geolocation on a precached Progressive Work App. Please click the locator pin on the menu to see the issues. They are;
1. The map tiles don’t load unless the phone is momentarily flipped on it’s side, then the tiles load correctly.
2. More importantly, I want to add a watch position function for the user on the map, but what is happening is that with each update a new pin is being added. Eventually, the screen becomes covered in pins. The way to solve this, I believe, is to have the previous layer (and its pin) deleted with each update so that there is only ever one pin on the map. For someone with knowledge of Leaflet and geolocation this code should not be too difficult to write. Ideally I’d like a pulsing dot to show location, but I would be happy just to have single pin that moves as the user moves.
I am using an web design mac app called Rapidweaver to create a website which I am turning into a PWA. It’s a favour for the local archaeology department.
