We need an application to be written, which performs certain tasks on a DGN document. The tasks include the following:
• Retrieve the list of external references. An external reference is a reference to any external file kept in a DGN document – a raster image or another DGN document.
• Update existing external references in a DGN document.
• Retrieve the list of text blocks. A text block is a text object placed to a drawing.
• Update existing text blocks.
• Retrieve referenced files and copy them to a specified directory.
The following areas of knowledge are required from a developer
• C++ or C# language. C++ is preferred over C#.
• XML. Ability to read and create XML files. Ability to understand XSD files.
• INI. Ability to read and modify INI files.
• Understanding of Bentley Microstation DGN object model or ability to learn it quickly.
• Knowledge of Teigha or [url removed, login to view] library that works with DGN and DWG files or ability to learn it quickly. We will give a copy of this library and its documentation to a developer.
