No one disputes the need for IDX on a successful real estate website. Regarding the IDX, May I know which IDX platform, you are planning to use with your project?- as per my knowledge, the popular IDX platforms are Diverse Solutions dsSearchAgent; rewIDX; Displet; Real Geeks; IDX Broker; iHomeFinder etc and many more. If you kindly share your preference with me, I can make my planning accordingly. In previous, I have already worked with IDX Broker platinum version; There MLS switched over to the Matrix System. It was a nice upgrade to the MLS, but the main thing that has been changed is- the data feed automatically adds properties that are 'under contract' to all search results; This really screws up the user experience when searching for homes, because many of the homes that they find on the website are 'under contract'; No one wants to look at homes that are not available for purchase. Later I need to manually change it and solve the issue. Google Maps integration with IDX broker was just awasome; I spent time customizing the CSS code to make it responsive and I worked hard to implement the maps on most of my pages. A few weeks back, I noticed that my maps weren't working right. Then a couple of days later I received a message that IDX Broker was not using Google Maps anymore and decided to use MapQuest. So my suggestion is not to go with IDX Broker. You can go with Real Geeks; provides a faster and more streamlined system. Also, their lead management is way better.
