We have to develop three additional webmap sections (wordpress) and finish the webmap Menu.
Menu: The webmap section is composed by four different map sections (Product 1-4), the visitor should easily change map section displayed through "a Menu", that should be developed. The Menu displays a description on mouse over. When the user click, the selected map section is displayed in the screen.
*Inao should provide small logo and description of each section.
Page Layout: 100% height and 100% width. Content should be adapted for such layout, and appropriate functionality for different screen sizes.
P1. FIELD OBSERVATIONS WEBMAP
we have around 300 field observations*year, documenting issues or conservation problems in a Natural Reserve.
TYPES: There are +15 type of problems (e.g. livestock, trash, vehicles) and in the future more types could be added.
The screen will contain a big map (fullscreen), showing all the observations, with different color marker according to type (include a label in the map).
Some points are so closer,
so its necessary to implement a spider effect (or grouping) effect in order to avoid hide observations. Reference for Spider: [url removed, login to view]
BASEMAPS: Satellite and Road Maps. Additionally visitor can choose to display: boundaries (default: on), roads (default: off) and management plan (default off)
CHARTS SIDE BAR:
At the right side of the map, three charts will be displayed :
a) a cake
chart (proportion of observations by type),
b) horizontal bar (number of observations by locality)
c) trend in time (number of observations per year) (line graph)
We hope the developer implement styling graphs, with mouse over effects. We can decide together options already developed
User can filter data displayed selecting one TYPE of problem (Default: all types displayed)
User can filter if the observation is inside and/or outside the Reserve. (Default: both displayed)
User can filter according the range of years the observation (with an horizontal bar) (see example: [url removed, login to view])
Charts are updated, if: a) any of the previous filters are applied. and /or b) according data visualised in the screen (the user zoom in or zoom out
Selection: If the user select any point, it will be appear a box displaying further details of the observation (a description, photo and other details associated)*. Inao can send a demo of this. Note: Some fields of the metadata should be hidden according to the type of observation selected.
* The structure of the data should change in time (adding or deleting some fields) we expect to talk about how to solve such kind of changes.
** Inao should provide a mockup, observations database (.csv) and photos, and
the three shapefiles required.
P3. Aerial photos.
A simple map. For several points, reveal the photo on mouse over. Enlarge by clicking on it.
User can zoom in, zoom out the map.
Spider effect for closer points.
**Inao should provide csv and photos. And a mockup
Simple map: Display two polygon maps (reserve infrastructure and management).
NOTE: Some polygons are very small, so in complete zoom out is possible not see them. We hope with the developer should discuss a possible solution (for example creating a mirror pointfile, so in any case it would be seen, I welcome other solutions too)
Behaviour: after click, show name, photos and description.
BASEMAPS: Satellite and Road Maps. Additionally visitor can choose to display: boundaries (default: on), roads (default: on) and management plan (default off).
**Inao should provide shapefiles and photos. And a mockup
During the last meeting, we need the developer teach us how (i hope an easy way) we can update/upload new data to the platform.
