I have several different needs for the following WordPress web site using the Twenty Eleven theme ..

Task 1 - Header image map
Notice the "Kentucky Historical Society" logo in the bottom right hand corner of the header graphic. The client would like that portion of the leader linked to an external web site ([login to view URL]) and the rest of graphic linked to the home page as it is now. I don't believe the slider plugin supports layers so the only way I know to do it would be using an image map code. I already created the image map code and can provide it to you. I just couldn't figure out how to make it work with the script.
Task 2 - News page layout
The "News" link in the top navigation is linked to [login to view URL] which pulls a page featuring all blog posts in the category "Featured Article." I would like to some how make this page a little more exciting preferably with a two (maybe three) column layout so that it looks more newsy. We can lose the sidebar if the additional screen real estate is needed. Right now there are only 3 blog posts on the site but it will eventually have 50 or more. An added bonus would be if, in addition to the layout enhancement, if we could make the order the blog posts appear random.
