I have a vast range of experience in writing and editing. I volunteered for a local magazine where I wrote features and was editor of an issue. I studied French, Psychology and English language at A level, which awakened my interest in language and grammar. I studied English language and literature at the University of Sheffield and achieved a 2:1. During this time, I regularly proofread essays for friends. This revolved around various disciplines such as English literature, architecture, engineering and biology. I then completed teacher training at Sheffield Hallam University. I worked in the educational field for around 3 years and am skilled in marking and editing work. During my course, I carried out a project on improving literacy skills in children with special needs. I also have experience in the finance and retail sectors so am comfortable handling multiple text types
