I studied the wall effects on the vortex shedding frequency in submarine pipelines. As can be seen in the pictures, if the pipeline is deformed due to his own weight. The shape of the streamlines downstream of the pipeline has a three-dimensional behaviour. Causing that the vortex shedding frequency depends of the distance between the cylinder and the seabed. This phenomena also affects the pipeline causing a perennial force in the cross-flow direction (lift) changing the equilibrium position of the structure. In the figures can be seen the streamlines downstream of the pipeline and the velocity field in a plane located at the middle of the pipe length. The four cases that are shown in the figures correspond to differents lengths between the pipeline and the seabed ( a. 7,5D b. 2D c. 0,75D d. 0,25D)* *.. D is the pipe diameter
