Channel Islands Cruising Guide

by karlheinz

This project is part of a public service website that I run to keep local boaters safe. The Cruising Guide website currently uses a static jpeg and is coded so that a boater can click on the jpg and be taken to information about specific anchorages. I’ve attempted to do a Google Earth map to replace the .jpg; however, my skills are limited and there is much extraneous data I’d like to remove and each location that you click on gives two results. So my .kml is not useable in its present form. Additionally, I am going to port my .php cruising guide to Word Press and incorporate it into the site you’ll find at So I need to do three things: 1. Clean up the Google Earth file that I’ve created 2. Learn how to edit it for future additions 3. Post it on my WordPress website. 4. Ensure that it operates correctly
