The project was going fine. I was satisfied with the work being delivered. But, over the weekend, my colleague mentioned something to the freelancer that was outside the scope of what was agreed. Instead of mentioning that it was outside the scope and to increase the time/budget (which we would have agreed to), the freelancer up and quit the project. He revoked all his access and cut all communication. He could have waited until Monday to resolve it with me. Left me no option but to close this project. He seems to be a good developer with good subject matter expertise. He didn't handle the concern professionally, in my opinion.
