Upon receiving his B.A. from Laguna Beach College of Fine Arts in 1986, Mr. Salas went to pursue his career working as a glass sculptor artist, Architectural Designer, Commercial Photographer , and Illustrator. Mr. Salas later went on to study Production Design at UCLA, which lead his interest to further study digital design and 3D modelling specializing in Alias Wavefront Maya software. In 1991 Mr. Salas formed Kala Designs which was contracted by String of Pearls Productions to develop film sets for the Warner Brothers release "Boiling Point" which launched his career in film. M r. Salas advanced from creating assets for Feature films, to also including a career as a Senior Artist, premier Art Director and Creative Director, for studios such as DreamWorks, Sony, and Activision working with animation, 3D modeling, and the latest high tech algorithm computer programs for rendering games, special effects and animation. Mr. Salas later went on to form Kala Studios and KalaFilms. In Co-development with LUXO Films Korea, Mr. Salas was responsible for Co-Directing the pre-production phase of the Animation feature film "RAIBON", and has also directed various entertainment and corporate advertising campaigns internationally. His 20+ years experience as Art Director, Creative Director, and Director in the entertainment and advertising industry make Mr. Salas an extremely valuable asset in designing and developing a wide range of publishing material and entertainment content for clients and audiences worldwide.
