UNIX/Windows: C/C++: Mail Server Client

Unfortunately, the library Waldemar suggested (vmime) required the use of a MSYS (a type of Unix environment on Windows). When attempting to use SOAP under MSYS, it did not work and this required moving all code developed on windows to a unix host (as vmime was meant to be used on Unix). I had also requested that the library be written in "C";however, he maintained the "ease" of use with a C++ solution. I requested the use of a "C" library (over C++) as that was what I was most familiar with. As of result, I had to resort to asking for samples on how to use the C++ library developed. When running into problems utilizing his proposal, he would make suggestion after suggestion (initially requiring one to re-install vmime and/or MSYS many times) that in the end, did not solve the problem. I feel that if he logged into the system (upon which the software was installed), he could have fixed the problem quickly and progress could have continued. As I close this project, there was a bug that was to be addressed by the "new SVN version" of vmime (as he has said). I feel that assistance in implementing this new version was absent. If I had it to again, I would have pushed more strongly for the C interface I requested instead of "working with" the C++ interface. I worked with another coder - who - also utilized a library. We ran into issues during the implementation and he logged into the system, resolved the problem and told me what he did. Which was very much appreciated. The code was completed in a timely manner.
