I was responsible for a series of tasks including teaching classes, lesson planning and marking. As it were creative subjects and smaller groups of students (maximum 12 students per class), my biggest focus was on quality and individualised attention. By the end of the course all of the candidates were able to draw, and some had advanced to a distinction level.

Responsibilities included presenting classes according to teaching material supplied by Damelin, lesson planning, briefing of assignments and marking. Marking templates were supplied by the college and intensive care had to be taken when filling in the marking sheets. There were various categories which needed to be taken into account and here I learned a lot about the criticalities that need to be taken into consideration when evaluating the quality of work presented.
