Contest Brief

Austral Business Machines/ ABM who are we:
- We sell and service office equipment but are predominantly a photocopier company.
- We have recently had our website redesigned through a freelancer - www.australbm.com.au - it is fresh, clean and professional.
- We have previously run a contest to redesign our logo, we awarded the winner, but still did not use the logo as there was nothing we were 100% happy with.

What we want:
- A new corporate identity - fresh, clean and professional.
- This corporate identity needs to be for: Stationery - Banners, Business Cards, Letter heads, Envelopes, car signage, shop front signage etc. and for Online: Email signatures, website banners, E-Newsletters etc.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- A stationery design!!
- To see your design on the above mentioned media, on a set of blank stationery (see attached as an example of blank stationery, not to be used)
- Needs to be original - (do not use shutterstock as I could just as easily do this!)

Brief Updated:
- I received a great link from a freelancer about generic logos, if you haven't seen yet I thought was great so please take a look. http://www.gtgraphics.org/genericlogos.html .
- In contradiction to this we do like the font Ethnocentric or something similar for the word Austral. Please just get creative with the initials we don't just want a font ABM we want a logo with it in there.
- The Director likes the charcoal background, with the embossed “polished aluminium” look, however this cannot be used across all media.
We still need a design (colored) with a white background that we can use on building signage, car signage and other media.


Just some more direction from what has come out of the current submissions and feedback from the Directors. I believe they would like an icon of some sort corporate looking with some color (not a full rainbow). The Directors are both males so no stereotypical female colors (pink & purple.) We are known by our customers as ABM and Austral so these words should be the main focus in the design with a small 'Business Machines' or without (unsure until we see it). I am trying to give a lot of feedback however sometimes the Director don't give me much to work on. The problem is they don't know what they want until they see it. Thank you so much for all of your work.

    Ok! We have extended the contest as we do not have what we want yet. It is hard because we have to settle on a logo, then from that logo have the stationary created and be happy with a full layout of corporate stationary. I appreciate all of your efforts thus far. I really like the current work of theocracy7, primavaradin, AalianShaz, trying2w, Mechaion and wastrah (I hope you haven't given up.) However this does not rule out anyone else winning the contest.     The Directors have just updated me saying that they actually don't like the current logo so you are free to be creative. Fresh, clean and professional nothing too hard to read. From the logo we will then work with you for the branding of the stationary. I really appreciate all of your time on the entries.
