We would like to thank everyone that previously bid on this project, particularly those that expressed an interest and provided feedback. Since the original project description was posted we have reviewed our requirements and have extensively revised our description of the features being requested. Please take a look at the summary below and ask any questions.

Overview

> This description provides an overview of the required solution; a more detailed version will be shared with a shortlist of developers to enable them to ask questions and provide more accurate quotes.

> The expected output of this piece of work will be Proof of Concept (PoC) that has been designed to test the feasibility of integrating the various elements set out below. The PoC will also be used to demonstrate the solution to prospective clients and to identify candidates that will be considered when building the MVP and subsequent iterations.

Overview of features

1. Files will be placed on an SFTP server (manually).

2. A manually triggered process will scan the SFTP server, identifying new batch folders and files, and storing details about the contents in a database.

3. Use an established API to pass .pdf files to an OCR type service.

4. Receive data (API) from the OCR type service and record it appropriately in a database.

5. Provide reports.

Detailed description the process and requirements

Files will be placed on the SFTP server (manually).

> .xls and .pdf files will be placed on an SFTP server using an FTP client.

> SFTP server directory structure: The directory structure on the SFTP server will be: xxx_Id\zzz_Id\Filename

> .xls SUBMISSION file: There will be a single .xls file in each directory on the SFTP server. The .xls file will contain the ‘master data’ against which all other data will be verified. The .xls file contains a row of data (a record) for each MEASURE. For PoC, each .xls file will contain 1 – 10 MEASURE records.

> .pdf DOCUMENT files: A predetermined file naming convention is applied to DOCUMENT files. For the purpose of the PoC, DOCUMENT files will be named using the file naming convention: AAA_BBB_DocumentType.

> For each record in the .xls file (i.e. each MEASURE) three .pdf files will be uploaded to the SFTP server.

> A manually triggered process will scan the SFTP server, identifying new batch folders and files, and storing details about the contents in a database.

- Record data from the .xls file in a database

- Record file metadata from .pdf files in a database

Use an existing API to pass .pdf files to an OCR type service.

> Use the API provided by the OCR type service provider to upload documents for digitalization.

Receive data (API) from the OCR type service and record it appropriately in a database.

Provide reports.

> The report is to be placed in a folder on the SFTP server.

> Determine the DOCUMENT types required for each MEASURE based on the simple criteria that will be provided.

> Identify any missing DOCUMENT types.

> Report the DOCUMENTS that were presented but did not conform to a defined template.

> Report the data elements in the .xls file that match (or otherwise) those returned from the OCR type service (API)
