I am looking for a Microsoft Excel master to create what I am calling an “Active Skills Matrix”. Basically, the excel spread sheet should be designed to provide the following functionality:
Show a list of people vertically in column A
Show a list of skills / knowledge areas horizontally across the top that can be mapped to an individual person
Allow a person to rate their own proficiency (i.e. from 1 to 3 for example) for each individual skill / knowledge area using a drop down box i.e. 1(green fill), 2 (orange fill), 3 (red fill) etc which are assigned to a number
Show the rating criteria for both knowledge level and proficiency to assist them in understanding how to rate themselves correctly
Allow a manager to rate the supervision level required to be applied to an individual for each individual skill using a drop down box (i.e. from 1 to 3 for example)
Assign the individual skills to a discipline or multiple disciplines i.e. Security Design Services, Security Risk Services, Business Resilience, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Project Management, Close Protection, Emergency Management etc
Assign the individual skills to project type i.e. CCTV design, Security Risk Assessment, Feasibility Study etc.
Assign the individual skills to a deliverable type i.e. TRA Report, Project Management Plan, Specification, etc
The spreadsheets objective (based on the inputs) is to rank people as follows:
Individual profile for each person (graph / pie chart etc) showing their proficiency / rating in each individual skill / knowledge area
Analyse and rank people best suited to a discipline
Analyse and rank people best suited to a project type
Analyse and rank people best suited to a deliverable type
Upon project award, I will provide the raw data that needs input into the spreadsheet.
