Annual Convention Creative

I am an event planner in Utah and need an extra event-planner brain to help me put together a great event this Fall. Mostly, just need someone who can brainstorm some ideas to help me develop the theme for my conference. Total hours probably wouldn’t exceed 10-20, but could turn into other events down the road (I have two large ones per year to organize).
This is a three-day Convention held every year in November for elected county officials (commissioners, clerks, assessors, attorneys, recorders, sheriffs, etc.). Our attendance is about 325, plus some spouses, and about 45-50 vendors (exhibitors and sponsors). The specific areas I would like help with (ideas and brainstorming) are decorating, vendor involvement game(s), side activities, and anything else that will make the event fun and attractive.
At this point, I have selected entertainment, keynote speaker, and overall theme. The theme this year is “Come Together” after the title of one of the Beattles songs. The entertainment is an excellent Beattles tribute band. Our keynote speaker is Larry Gelwix, who will speak on motivation and leadership topics. The Beattles group will appear in sorta the Ed Sullivan era costumes of the Beattles (clean-cut, suits, etc.) so I was thinking some type of black and white, mid-60s look to the marketing materials. But that’s as far as I have gotten so I am hoping to get some help from you!

I've done a lot of meetings in which we have to get the guests motivated to seek out each exhibitor/vendor. I have completed successes in this area!
