Hi,
I'm looking for a US/UK-based proofreader for a book I was writing as a hobby for some time now. This is my first book and I'm not a native English speaker. I'm based in Warsaw, Poland so all communication will be done via mail/Zoom.
Here are a few details:
- Non-fiction / positive psychology / self-help genre.
- The book is primarily targeted at the US market (US-English).
- 4 drafts are already completed so no corrections in terms of book content should be needed.
- 780 A4 pages / About 4000 - 4800 characters per page / 560 000 words in total.
- I'd like to have an agreed price for one page to fully control costs.
- I'll also need invoices for tax purposes.
- I'd like to get done 8-10 pages per day - about 90-day commitment.
What I need:
- I'm not a native English speaker so you can expect a bit more work on my text.
- No need for text formatting.
- Grammar & styling corrections needed.
- Understanding check - if some sentences are not clearly understandable they should be corrected as well. I'll handle corrections larger than a few sentences, so in such cases, only info about those will be needed.
- The book should be ready for publication.
Later I'll send a book sample where you'll be able to judge how much work is really needed to get the text publish-ready & we'll agree on the final price.
