For most of my career I've served at the pleasure of local government agencies for all the good and bad that comes with it. Since I moved between agencies periodically I took advantage of the exposure to different tool sets, development environments, etc. Despite my wide range of skills and interests developing web applications using Coldfusion and Oracle with HTML5, CSS3. However, I have also been making an effort to branch out into some areas and such as PHP, Drupal, and some task automation.

In 2009 I was tasked with redesigning the Florida State Parks Online Park Guide. My coworker and I worked diligently together to produce an impressive website and custom tailored content management system. The site won several awards and was maintained by myself for several years. Once again in 2013 the site was scheduled to be redesigned, however, this project was tasked to a team of 8 individuals including myself. It was also decided that it should be built on the Drupal Content Management system and so we all set to work producing mock ups of the new site to present to a panel of Florida Park Services staff members. Out of the numerous mock ups presented my own personal concept was selected as the template for the new parks site as well as the agency's website. Unfortunately, I left to pursue a better opportunity and was unable to see the project through to the end.

The Florida State Parks Online Park Guide was developed by myself and one other developer over the course of 9 months. Together we completely redesigned the public facing pages with a consistent and appealing look and feel while providing a complex backend which allowed staff members to login remotely and modify key content for each state park, including modifying text, posting events, and uploading photos and documents. Following the initial project several enhancements were commissioned to assist park staff in tracking sales, collecting marketing data and even host a photo contest. Our team was eventually awarded a Davis Productivity Award for the work we completed.
