Work Experience
2009-Present Freelance Linguist.
Working part time, teaching Basic English & Spanish as well as translating documents via the internet and occasional face to face interpreting.
I specialize in teaching ESOL and translations of legal and technical documentation.
2007-2009 Online Second Hand Shop.
Based in Colchester, started my own business selling second hand home entertainment products through the internet to local customers, delivering the goods on the spot to their home addresses using take away drivers.
2002-2004 Second hand shop.
Based in Gt Yarmouth (Norfolk), managed to secure funding from the Princess Trust to set up a second hand shop selling stock bought from liquidation, bankruptcy and police/customs auctions for sale to the general public.
2002-2001 Surface Mount.
(Poole, Dorset) Worked Quality testing at end of production lines for a company specializing in analogical and digital PCB circuitry (occasional surface mount technology was used). Main duty was to fault find & fix circuits to a component level.
2000-2001 Auto-Wrappers.
(Norwich, Norfolk). Worked as part of a team, building custom tailored factory machinery from schematics. Was responsible for wiring control panels to three phase motors, safety devices and to control systems.
This though being early in my career was the most specialized work I have carried out as this prestigious company demanded top workmanship.
1998-2001 Happy Land Amusements.
(Bournemouth, Dorset). After training, became main key Holder responsible for over 200 arcade machines. Was responsible for security and full maintenance, finding & fitting of electrical/electronic components and dealing in queries with the public.
