Julia Gandrud writes articles, blog posts, and fiction. Her main subject areas include science fiction and the science behind it, traditional music, writing processes, and the visual arts. Oh, and she writes a lot about the environment, and travel.
She helps others improve their English writing skills through classroom teaching, and with one on one training.
Aside from coaching writing, she creates environmental press releases, e.g. for the public affairs department at the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority. She also writes and illustrates travel articles, as for the Japanese Travel Agency (IACE).
Her educational background is in Applied Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has a Master's in Film from the San Francisco Art Institute, and Bachelor's from Smith College.
