Over the past ten years Aileen Peter Meena has been working with two giant Telecommunications Companies
, currently with Vodacom. During this period she has accumulated extensive knowledge, skills, experience and contributions to the business are noticeable basically in different areas, namely; Commercial in Consumer/Mass Unit, Business/ Enterprise Unit in both companies. In addition, at different periods she has been given different managerial positions from both companies dealing with various projects ,products/ solutions development and sales executions. In terms of size of workforce, Aileen has been managing bigger teams both direct and indirect employees (indirect sales channels)working through partnership arrangements. Throughout her working experience, in the two respective companies, Aileen Meena has demonstrated a proven record of engineering and driving transformation especially in start-up business models and key projects as well as change management .
Further, over the past years of experience Aileen has managed to work and grow within the two respected organisations by embracing change, identifying and exploiting potential opportunities as they surface. So far, Aileen has worked in eight (8) different roles including rising from a Call Centre Agent to different managerial roles , with the current organisation so far 5years have worked in 4 roles Head of different departments. For instance, for Vodacom alone, Aileen has worked as Head of lndirect Channel Department, Head of Coastal Acceleration, Acting Head of M-Pesa Business as well as Head of Partnership & Regions which is the current role, driving growth of the business through partnership to grow SME markets share as well penetrating in big businesses in across the regions .Her driving philosophy is anchored by embracing changes and making the difference in the business is critical when it comes to growth contributions, again on the belief that high-speed unfold is one of surest strategy of making a difference in business . It is also one of the most critical ways of driving sustainable development business goals with the team full of energy and agility. In the same vein, Aileen also believe in accelerating viable and visible profitable results through dedication and commitment in leadership and through team members who believe in change management.
The starting point of her career motivates young generations, especially young women to drive business by dedication and commitment, they can do it doesn’t matter where the journey starts won’t end there, always opportunities to grow are there
In relation to participation in community services, Aileen is an active member of CCT, University of Dar es Salaam women associations engaged in coaching, mentoring and community outreach activities. Apart from building business she believe its critical to leave the legacy in our communities.
