The unique feature of Cooperative Studies is the combination of 12 weeks of teaching and 12 weeks of on-the-job training per semester. The six semester (comparable to a 4-year US degree), full time Bachelor of Engineering program with integrated practical phases each semester is divided into four semesters of basic studies and two semesters of main studies. During the basic studies I obtained a broad selection of fundamental education in engineering, scientific and business management disciplines. The main emphases of the studies mathematics/physics, computer science, business administration, technical mechanics, construction, electrical/electronics, material science, production engineering and thermodynamics. During the on-the-job training I gained basic knowledge in manual work processes like turning, milling, drilling and filing in the training workshop of MTU. I used to work in different departments: TP- 400, test cell for LM2500 and LM5000, repair department In the end if the studies a research-oriented was required: "The Development of Appropriate Parameters for the Repair of Seal Fins of the CF34-10E Engine by Using Micro-plasma Welding"
