In my 18 year professional experience I have worked mostly extensively on museums, restorations of listed neoclassical and postwar buildings, office buildings, renovations, interior design, object design and more recently, on state-of-the-art sound recording studios. I have also taken part in video festivals in London and Athens with my experimental short videos.
My academic background and my work experience have focused on architecture, interior design, acoustic architecture and time-based media. The 17 year collaboration I have had with Pavlos M. Calligas Architectural Practice has been characterized by the restorations of neoclassical buildings. His studies in Ecole des Beaux Art Paris and his widespread experience have made him one of the most prominent architects in Greece. My experience in restoration of listed neoclassical and post-war buildings, has taught me to appreciate and value the history of materials and forms used in these structures. I have been able to extend this knowledge in the design and supervision of my personal projects, which mainly concern new residential buidings, interior design, furniture and object design, restorations and conversions of spaces.
I have also recieved a Masters of Arts degree from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in the United Kingdom. During this course I submitted three of my short videos to the BBC Short Film Festival. All three were admitted and were presented at the experimental section of the Festival. This work was also presented at various other festivals in the United Kingdom and in Greece.
