Create Tool to convert Outlook message to specific XML Format

Overview - We receive catalog requests for customers from email messages. These messages need to be converted to a specific XML format so they can be imported into our order management system. Specifics: Outlook message always has same subject (Catalog Request) and is in the same format and in the same Outlook directory. Message includes the following: o Name: customer name - need to separate into first and last name for XML file. This doesn’t have to be perfect because it can be modified in the order management system. o Company o Address 1: street address or PO Box o Address 2: usually blank, but may have more address info o City: US cities only o State: 2 character state abbreviation o Zip Code: usually 5 digit zip code o Email Address: customer’s email address - not validated o Pull sent date from Outlook message header (not required) o Address does not need to be validated Needs to be converted into an XML file: o The only fields in the basic XML file that need to be changed are Date, First Name, Last Name, Fname and Lname together, Company, Address 1, Address 2, City, State, Zip Code and Email Address o Complete format of the XML file will be provided o Need to generate unique order number - can be something like a number format for day, month, year, time - all numeric o Save the new file under c:/stoneedge/neworders/Discount Embroidery Supply Orders yyyy-month-day hour-min-sec (for the date and time the file is being imported). o Save as XML Document Miscellaneous notes o If the Outlook message cannot be accessed without opening Outlook, need something to select the message, print it to a file (as .txt, .html, etc.) and move it to a special directory in Outlook. All Outlook files in a specific Outlook directory contain only these catalog orders. Ideally, all files in this directory would be read and put together in one XML file for import into our order management system. o Sample file formats for both the Outlook and the XML file are attached. o We prefer that this be written as simply as possible and be executable.
