Greetings! This is probably one of the most unusual requests for content! And fun! My mother actually used to dress me in gingham quite a bit as a child, so I have many memories of this particular type of fabric/patterning. I would love to combine these fond feelings and some research into a blog post for you. I believe gingham is Dutch in origin, and one of the great things about gingham is the ease in which the patterns can be made by varying the colors and spacing in the weaving process.
