I need a very simple MATLAB gui (R2012b) that connects with an Excel database (via VBA) for load and save functionality.
The Matlab GUI has to have 2 pages with their own tabs (named "first page", and "second page" that would
get highlighted when each tab is selected so it is obvious which page we are in) with the following components:
Page1:
-one push Button labeled "Load Record", tag = loadrecord on the top of the 1st page
-6 edit boxes labeled (Last Name, First Name, Sub ID, Group #, Procedure Date, DOB), in the 1st page
-The corresponding tags of (lastname, firstname, subscriberid, groupnumber, procedure_date, dob)
-one push Button labeled "Save Record", tag = saverecord at the bottom of the 1st page
all edit boxes are Strings.
Page2:
-one pulldown menu consisting of (Last Name, First Name, Sub ID, Group #, Procedure Date, DOB)
-one edit box to enter a text String (this is the keyword for the search)
-one push button named Search (tag=searchrecord)
-one push button named Load (tag=loadrecord)
-a table that shows 7 rows of data read from an Excel sheet called myDatabase saved in C:\project with having the following titles for the columns:
(Index, Last Name, First Name, DOB, Sub ID, Group #, Procedure Date, DOB, Badge, Last Modified)
Index starts from 1 incrementally and is an integer. Columns are re-arrangeable and sortable. Must be able to edit all cells
except for "Last Modified" and "Badge" by double clicking.
-one push button named Edit (tag=editrecord)
-one push button named Save Changes (tag=saverecord)
-one push button named Delete Record (tag = deleterecord) which is only visible when Edit buton is pressed.
General idea is to Save records from Matlab GUI into an Excel sheet and Load records back into Matlab GUI from Excel sheets.
During the Save and Load there are certain things that have to be checked such as duplicate records and empty cell and such. I will provide a detailed functionality list for every component mentioned above in the two pages once I choose the right candidate. The best overall developer with the fastest developing time will win. If you take more than a week to develop this please don't contact me.
You must provide all the corresponding files (.m, .fig, Excel file). Matlab must use GUIDE for the GUI.
Thanks!
Is very late for me right now but tomorrow morning I am goind to send you my GUI prototype. And then you can see if I am the right candidate.
I know Matlab very well and work with Matlab and Excel is very easy.

Noel
