Build a Website

My client needs a website to replace his existing site. I have chosen a Wordpress theme and would like the site to be built using that theme. I would like to see examples of your similar work. The attached files include some sample wireframes and a sitemap. Background The project is a complete re-build of a website for an Australian business consulting group. The new site needs to portray my client as professional service providers to their target market of medium sized businesses (15-100 employees). They provide a range of consulting services across Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance etc. Team I will project manage the new website development. The client has his own hosting (current website host) however we will require assistance to set up a development space and migrate the new website once complete. Timing We require the website to be completed within 4 weeks once approval is given. 1) Platform The website is to be built in Wordpress using the Enfold theme: [login to view URL] 2) Look and feel The look and feel needs to be clean, professional, ‘corporate’ and uncluttered. Colours and images can be picked up from the current website, however we are open to the use of other stock images. 3) Responsiveness The site needs to be fully responsive to display optimally on desktop, tablet & mobile devices (Enfold theme is responsive) 4) Home page We do not want a slider on the home page, rather a fixed image with live text over the top. The image could be full width or within a fixed width container as per the designer’s recommendation. 5) Sidebar The right hand sidebar will feature three widgets promoting free content the company has developed: • A downloadable eBook – the button will link to the eBook page. A short form will require the user to enter their email address and this will then allow download of the eBook. The email address needs to be added automatically to a Mailchimp list for future newsletter mailings. • A link to a resources page with downloadable white papers etc (no email address required) • A link to a newsletter signup page (embedded Mailchimp form) 6) Contact The contact page needs a contact form that sends users to a Thank You page following submission of form. 7) Blog The blog will have 8 post categories that correspond to the 8 services provided. Category pages will appear as drop-downs under the ‘Blog’ item in the top navigation bar. The main blog page will feature multiple authors (each consultant needs a profile) and should feature an image followed by 1-2 paragraphs of text then a ‘Read more’ link. The blog sidebar should have widgets for: • Posts by category • Recent posts • Tag cloud or similar to show most popular tags Comments should be disabled. Articles by each Consultant should appear on that Consultant’s profile page. Articles in each category should appear on that Category page. 8) Portfolio The theme’s Portfolio feature is to be used for the Case Studies. Each Case Study needs to be put in Categories that correspond to the Service and Blog Categories. Each Service Category page will then have related Case Studies and Blog posts appear on the page (as per the wireframe) 9) Plugins Plugins we would like implemented are: • Yoast Wordpress SEO • Redirection • AddThis Smart Layers or ShareThis (to suit design) • Post Types Order • Security – we welcome your suggestions for security plugin/s 10) Content Some of the existing site’s content will be used on the new site (e.g. Consultant bio’s, Case Studies, Testimonials), however new content is being written for the Home page, Services pages and other pages. This will be provided during the website build process and is to be added by you. We will require blog content from the existing site’s Blog and Business Tips pages to be imported and added as posts on the new site. If stock images are required we can allocate a small budget for acquiring these.
