Hi I am always using my test domain when I want to migrate, update or upgrade websites and always take backups before any task. The only problem is your site size. If you have videos then i guess that it will have a lot of giga. That means that it will take some time to download data from your live site, upload them to my demo srver, dowload them again localy to my computer and when the upgrate completed upload them again to your live server. One thing that we also need to discuss is the extensions that you are using to your site and if they are compatible with the 2.5 version. Sometimes we have to substitute some extensions due to their pure compatibility with newer Joomla versions. I would be glad to discuss this project further more with you. Hi Mate, "You will have to first develop the site on a different domain and server that I will give you access to on Godaddy hosting. " Why I need to develop the site again in test domain. I can just copy the files from the LIVE to Test server. Then will upgrade the site to 2.5. After you will check, then will upload the files to LIVE from Test. I need to check the site before working on it, as sometimes few plugins / components stop working after upgrdataion. Also one thing, why you are looking for 2.5? Now its 3.2, I can do that.
