To complete this project you will need to build a worker that can watch an SFTP server, identify when new files appear on the server, write the file names to a database (you chose which database to use), and then pass the files to [login to view URL] using their API. The app will then listen for a signal from the [login to view URL] API to know when a job is complete and then collect and deliver the data received from Captricity to the database.
In addition to the data that will be extracted from the files that will be 'digitalised' by captricity you will need to identify, parse, and write the content of an .xml and .xls file (one of each) to the database.
Based on the data obtained from the .xml and .xls files plus the data returned by Captricity a single report will be required which will be placed back on the original SFTP server and an email will be sent to the user to notify them that the job is complete.
Our preference is for this web app to be written in Ruby.
