What kind of bar code scanner are you using? I'd like to obtain one for testing, I can purchase one myself, but I'd like to know the model.
What are you currently using for inventory management? Is it another program, would you need to move information from your current system into this new one.
I'd like to design a user hierarchy, where the owner, or manager has administrator capabilities which include, adding new users (lower employees) and choosing what you allow them to do. So not just any employee can do a price change if they aren't authorized.
Something I've seen gaining popularity is the option to email receipts, we can talk about including this.
Are your scanners wireless or connected to the register? If they are mobile, I can include a feature to take inventory. This will begin recording a count of items that a user scans. Scans must be validated by a user with the correct capabilities. The inventory report generated will display the number of items scanned, the number that should be in stock, and deficit or surplus. A manager can choose to accept all, none, or some item counts. The inventory report can be compiled over a selected period to see a report for that period. The sales report will work in a similar way, viewing sales in real-time, by day, week, month, or year.
For printing a bill or receipt, will you also need integration with a credit/debit device? Integrating this is largely dependent on what you have in place now.
