we wanr to propose a hybrid switch based on OpenFlow to perform both data forwarding functions and some control plane functionalities delegated by SDN controller. The delegation controller function to hybrid switch can reduce work load and traffic between the controller and hybrid switch, therefore resulting to improved scalability and reduced path set-up latency. The proposed hybrid switch can be implemented in a Data Centre network to ensure scalable switching and reduced network latency.
