Hello,
I currently have a website that is creating extreme memory load problems on the dedicated server it is on. The server itself is perfectly capable of supporting the site's traffic, the problems are due to some bug in the php coding of the site which is creating multiple instances of processes that build up and are never terminated. When these processes are killed manually through cpanel, everything resumes back to normal, but it is obviously not the solution as the problem reoccurs very quickly.
Everything was running flawlessly before and even under much heavier traffic. It is some file, configuration change or apache update that must have started this.
I need a programmer that has a solid background in PHP and server administration to take a close look at the code and trace the source of the problem and make the necessary corrections to resolve the issue.
Here are some specifics about the site/problem; you must be familiar with all these topics before considering this project:
- The site is hosted on a dedicated server running Centos 6.3
- The site in is a gaming/arcade site with hundreds of Flash games. There is a custom antileech setup to prevent people from pumping the games. It is this antileech setup that is causing the issues.
- The processes causing the load look like this (process manager shows multiple instances of this):
/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL
Again this could be a server config issue, a missing file or some error in a php code.
Please post your offers with relevant information and past experience covering such issues.
Thanks!
