I need a simple solution so I can add / edit / duplicate a record using one form, not separate [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] forms.
I need it right now !! Pretty simple but I'm sure one of you can do this in 10 minutes. I'll give you access to the server.
This needs to be in clasic .asp
SQL server 2008
There would only be 2 pages for this project, so pretty simple
- the report showing the records and links to add/edit/duplicate
- one form where all of that could be done
The user's options on the report would be to:
- add a new record
- edit an existing record
- dupllicate an existing record
My thinking is that when you click the 'edit' then it just pulls up that record, no problem.
When you click 'duplicate' it would duplicate the record, hold the record ID in a session
variable and load it in the edit form (same form).
When you click 'add' it would duplicate some blank record (say record #1, which would hold the default values)

Here is the table:
- firmID (int)
- Manager (text)

I am ready to do as Requirement is clear and will be doing the same as have asked.
This is what i understand
Current, seperate page have used with add/edit and duplicate
I need to get all these working using one page.
If i clicked on add then form will be displaying with blank field and will be add too.
If I clicked on Edit the same form will be open with pre-filled, this time update will be done
I am much expert in classic asp. please give me chance to proveself. I assure you will be happy with the work.
