Hello sir, I will work on windows service development using following steps 1. Fetching and Eecuting SQL Query . 2. Dump results in to csv file 3. Send file to FTP Server 4. Renaming of file (Can you please explain what would be format of new file name so we say it is completed) 5. Config file will contain Duration,FTP Server Details, SQL File Location path 6. Three level of logs :none,minimal,debug Questions: 1. Can you please describe level of logging i.e with minimal which stuff we log, with debug which stuff we log 2. Do we log every thing in some folder with log files 3. Renaming of file: i think we have one folder "COMPLETED", we move uploaded file to this folder?

My suggestions would be to have a windows exe that will be used in a windows scheduler instead of Windows Service as Service needs to be installed and is difficult to configure for the end user. Exe will have ... 1- File Browse stuff (SQL file). 2-FTP Server configuration details. 3-Logging of error details. 4- Configuration file can also be provided. I can make a Windows service too ,not an issue. Please PM me so that i could guide you about the scheduled stuff.
