I work for a streaming tv show website which is made entirely in html.
Currently, the website has lots of different tv episodes, but is lacking in any descriptive content concerning the plot of an episode.
Essentially what I am trying to do is somehow inject a plot summary of each tv episode into its html page on the site. The problem is that the site has around 25K different TV episodes, and I do not know how I would go about doing this.
Basically what I have come up with is to data mine and put together a database of all of the television episodes which I need.
Sources for the plot summaries are plentiful, and an example of a good one is:
( to get the plot summary of an episode, just scroll down and click on any
episode.
A description should immediately slide out.)
In addition to injecting all the html pages of the tv show website with the appropriate plot summary for each one, I also need to create a search engine using the descriptive plot summaries in the results of the search.
The site cannot be converted to php.
Although I do not really know how to go about developing this project, my target budget is at the $80-$100 range
(meaning I would pay $80-$100 depending on negotiations and quality of work)
Basically the way I see this project commencing is that I would give the person who wins the bidding phase of this project a list of all of the different television episodes for which I need plot summaries.
They would be given in the format of something like:
Two and a Half Men Season 2 Episode 3
and what I need back from you would be something like:
Two and a Half Men Season 2, Episode 3 - A Bag Full of Jawea
Charlie tries to save Jake from school suspension for giving his teacher the finger by romancing her, but his attempts fail every time.
(Basically just the title of the episode, and a plot summary. The above example was done using the source:
After obtaining all of the descriptions, next we would need to devise a way to inject each plot summary into the correct corresponding episode html file.
At this point, essentially the project will be complete, and I will pay you $80. However, if you would be willing to help me develop a search engine using the database you created as well, I would pay up to $20 extra.
The extra part is not optional and I am mainly interested in injecting the correct episode plot summary into the corresponding html file.
