Development of Fatigue Crack Growth Model for High Pressure gas pipeline

About 80% of the country electricity is generated using imported natural gas via pipelines. Subjected to external interference and internal fluctuating loading due to the turbulent gas flow, the pipeline will be fatigued and eventually leak. The catastrophic consequences associated with the leakage generate a need for detailed analysis on fatigue crack growth (FCG). Virtually all FCG models developed are empirical or semi-empirical based, which essentially provide data correlation relations rather than predictive capabilities. In this project, you have to develop a model on fatigue crack growth subjected to variable amplitude loading. Software: Ansys

I am a material engineer and I am a good candidate for this project, since I have experience in fatigue analysis and crack growth by fracture mechanics, analyzing both analytical and ANSYS software. Best regards Rafael
