asp.net c# Nested grid view using XML data source

I would like a nested grid view something like the attached image, but without using third party controls. The screenshot is what is currently used, but using Infragistics controls, which I would like to get away from. The replacement can look something like: [login to view URL] I'm open to your ideas if you want to do something fancier. The data source will read an xml file from disk. An example of what the xml file can look like is attached. (There can be unlimited number of chartnames and can be in any random order in the file) Using linq is preferred though xQuery is optional. Any number of rows can be selected (check box). When a display-chart button is pressed, for this project, simply display the ID of the selected rows (I will take it from there). Any row heading should be clickable to sort those rows in ascending/descending order.
