About us and the project Background: Hi, we are a small online travel agent in Sweden. We specialize in arranging vacations, weddings, company conferences and such. Among our products we offer vacations on channel boats in Great Britain. Now we want to set up a separate website for the channel boat trips. The product: On our website we want to be able to present the boats, the routes also the marinas. Also we want to our customers to be able to make a booking request or quote through the website. Platform: The page needs to be built on a simple platform like Wordpress, Squarespace, Wix.com. It is important that it is easy for us to update images and text and possibly add pages for content as text, and images. Functionality: The most challenging part of the website is the booking request module where you have to be able to select a combination of dates, marinas, routes and boats alongside the contact information. No need for payment functionality. Graphics: We currently don’t have a logotype nor graphic design/ coroporate identity at all. It is a whole new brand you could say. We have all images and texts for the content. We want the user interface to be modern and easy to navigate. References: Reference for navigation and booking challenge. Hello. I'm interested in your project. I would go for WordPress, though, as both Wix and Squarespace lacks in features and flexibility compared to WordPress. Setting a booking system won't be a problem either, I've done booking systems before, not this complex, but I saw their capabilities and I know they are capable to this task. Aditionally, it's possivle for a payment system to be added later on, if needed. Design wise... I could either go to something similar to your current website design (to be honest, I don't like it very much, it's kinda cluttered) or come up with a brand new design. The examples you provided have a much better design, so they can be used for inspiration. Please let me know what you think about my proposal and let's get it started.
