We have a legacy software application that is still used to send SMS messages from a database. The software generates and email with an XML attachment that contains the SMS data. The problem is that the original SMS service provider has now been bought by a different company and they have different XML parameters. The SMS parameters are hard coded into the original software application. I can change the destination email address and a few other minor detail but this is still not enough to allow their service to be used with the new provider. I have my own Linux server that can act as an email server.
I require a script that will
1. read the incoming email
2. read the content of the attached xml file
3. generate a new xml file in the appropriate format
4. transmit the new xml file to the SMS provider
Here are details of the SMS providers API, I do not have any preference on how the data is transmitted:

Hello
Can you please clarify if you are looking to have your existing app updated or creation of a completely new script and also which mail server you are running on your server?
If you would like to send through a message, we can chat some more about the project and I can confirm with you regarding completion.
Thank you
Darren
