I'm a computer professional with a degree in Computer Engineering and 20 years experience doing development and operational work. I've backed up, restored, and moved database data from place to place, including Oracle to Oracle and Oracle to something else and so on dozens of times. It's a common request and I've never had a problem with it. Oracle to Oracle is incredibly easy. I said 3 days because a lot of data can take time to transfer but the work itself is minor.

it's not possible to copy Oracle database from one server to another over ftp. You need to have full ssh access or dba account for this action.

I would like to have more details about the job, like DB size and version. I have done this kind of migration several times.

I have good knowledge on taking database backup and installation. I usually twice a week in my project. So i can do the work. Below is list of steps 1. taking database back from client 2. Uploading database using FTP (depends on the size of the backup we need to decide how to transfer) 3. Download and install backup database.
