1. A simple interface (not graphical) 2. Enable where required by design, any registration requirements to be defiend & processed 3. Enable clients to interact with a server in respect of changing all valid message types & requests as defined 4. display any relevant messages 5. The specification of a client server application model against a simple user specification 2. The implementation of an application based on the model ** system specification should incorporate standard features that include a minimum of the following: ** - A collection of rooms - Public chatting within any given room - Private chatting between 2 individual users through the server - Public notification of changes of occupancy in rooms - Consideration of identification & authentications of any client user - Consideration of a Moderator or Administrator client - Ability to exchange files between to clients. ** the following common conventions need to be adopted: ** - A client must connect and authenticate to the server before commencement of chat message exchange - Clients existing in the chat enviroment will be unique & indentifiable - Clients can request information on current rooms that are in use - Clients will be notified automatically of any existing occupants, and any changes in the occupancy with any room ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
