Database updated via Email

We need a ColdFusion 8 or php application that will pop mail from an email account, parse the response and then input it into a Mysql database.? Customers will be emailing pricing to? the specified email address? to be displayed on a web page.? The email will contain a customer identification number and? the price. When an email is received and processed, an email will be sent back to the customer to let them know that it was received, processed and what the price was.? If an email hasnt been received within one week, a reminder email would be generated and sent to the customer. There would need to be a table to keep the prices in and a table that woudl maintain the customer data. This would consist of customer number 8 digit number, company name, address, city state, zip phone email address.
