Database enhancement (filemaker or other)

A very small art promotion company (3 personnes) in Paris would like to optimize their database programme actually running under Filemaker Pro. They use this programme as a stock management and event management tool. They would like to extend the functionalities. A such, they are looking for a programmer to EITHER retouch the actual Filemaker programme / database OR redo the User Interface/database in another format that is more practical, evolutive and inexpensive. The work may start immediately once the bids are closed. The work will be executed if the appropriate price arrangement is found, otherwise they will fix it up internally as well as they can. I will serve as an interface between the company as the developer. I have notions as to Filemaker, PHP, Mysql. You may write the programme in English and I will translate into French. Some part of the programme are in French and English. The programme is based essentially on the Works of Art. Each work of art has about 25 fields to be entered : Name, Date, Height, Width, Depth (cm and inches), Number, Order Date, Production Date, Artist, Composition, Notes, Sales Price, Price sold, Date Sold, Date Bill of Sale, Bill of Sale Number, Price margins, Artist commissions, Notes AND Localisation (where the work of art is) and the modification that were made to the work of art during it life within the company (color change, body fixes, localization changes...). The orignal programme was just a tracking programme so that they knew where the works are (which gallery). The eventual particularity of statues is as follows. Statues may be made in only 12 examples of a particular work. They are numbered from 1/8 to 8/8 et I/IV to IV/IV. They may also reproduce the statue at another size at 12 examples each. This makes finding a PRIMARY KEY on statues somewhat difficult. Paintings are unique examples. The programme’s event management concerns exhibitions essentially as well as order forms for works, annexe products or transport. Once it is decided to do an exhibition, they must find, reunite and/or create the ncessary works for that exhibit. This means changing the localization of certain works within the database (necessitates transporting the statues from one gallery to another) or creating new models of certain works (art casting). The other categories that the database includes are ARTISTS, GALLERIES, CASTERS, SUPPLIERS (including NAME, ADRESSE, etc.). They would like the programme to do the following: - Visualization and modification of the database work of art files, contact file, etc. - Localization of works of art with multiple selection possibilities (by gallery, by artist, by date, by statue name...) - Sales statistics with multiple selection possibilities (by gallery, by artist, by name, by country, by size, by date, etc.) - Exhibition organisation tables: choices of works with their actual localization or creation of new works of art within the database. This includes then the creation of bill of transport orders, statue casting ordering, etc. The programme must create the following documents for printing purposes (in French or English): Delivery note, Order forms, Transportation form, Price Offer, Bill of Sale, Authentic Work Certificate. All prices must be translatable from euros to dollars (with a coefficient change when necessary). All prices must include with and without sales tax figures. The actual database has around 1100 arts of work. Of course, if the new programme is in another form, we would like to retrieve the previous entries. The company uses Windows XP and Vista. Compatibility for MacOs would be even better. I will be the project coordinator. I will design the approximate screen layouts to make the project as easy and clear as possible for the developer.
