****** Deadline is September 12,2003 ****** The program should handle all aspects of Opt-out list requests. Our company utilizes email advertisements from 3rd party affiliates. We would like to honor all opt-out requests for email advertisments. We would like to setup a dedicated server to handle this. All email advertisements affiliated with our company will include the ability for the recipient to discontinue future advertisements. If the recipient chooses to be removed, they will be directed to a page to enter the email address that they wish to have removed. At that time the email addresses will be added to a list of addresses that should never be mailed to. This is the first and easiest part of the project. The second part will force all current affiliates and future affiliates to honor these requests. The affiliate will have to run their list through the server. All remove addresses will then be stripped from the affiliate's list. A new list will be created with the remove emails stripped from the list for the affiliate. To ensure that each affiliate is honoring these requests, we will need detailed records of each affiliate's activity. We will need to record when the affiliate has used the system, any other statistics that may be benificial (number of emails removed from list, etc.). We would like the system to work as fast as possible. The list size may be very large. Any technology that can handle this in a very fast method is welcome.
