I am developing a web-application for small/medium-sized business. It is a knowledge-based strategic management system. I need help designing the base platform, with the possibility of contracting out additional features. I have written a detailed requirement and design document, available after an NDA has been signed. It specifies the requirements, use cases, object model, user workflow, and some implemtation details. It is meant to provide a guide and you can make any modifications to the final system as you see fit. It should greatly reduce project management overhead and allow you to focus on development. You will be required to create a working website similar to that in the mockup image provided. You will also be asked to make sub-pages (such as 'activities' and 'tasks') and basic functionality (such as login). I am interested in quality code with comments, so that future versions can be created in-house. I am flexible on the price and am willing to work with the developer over email/IM. We will probably mostly in the final stages, as I believe the design document is quite thorough. If I like the quality, you may be offered future assignments related to this product. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) A set of UML diagrams and descriptions for the implemented version. This would reflect any design changes and any implementation details left out of the platform-independant model provided. ## Platform Apache Tomcat/mySQL on Linux-based system. Must work correctly in both IE6+ and Firefox 1.0+ browsers. Should make efforts to be complient with W3C standards. Prefer JSP with a MVC architecture, such as Apache Struts or JavaServer Faces, and the use of Hibernate to abstract the database.
